QUESTION Submitted by Ben S. on 05/14/2011:  Why can't we just have a machine shop modify caps and plugs to inflate our hose? There are several issues. First is Personnel SAFETY - The Anaconda™ has important safety features and is in-use for training First Responders. Second is economy since a machine shop probably costs more. Also, is the potential for Patent infringement - Check Published Patent US20080295911 - 05/29/2007.

  Exactly what does The Boa™ do?  It uses a Patent published process to quickly & safely remove excess water from flat hose before putting it away. This process has never been available until Now!  You will Never, Ever "Walk Out Hose Again!"

   Why would we need The Boa™?  This equipment speeds up the overhaul process after a tough job (like fighting a fire) - saves time, labor & money. Those who have had to "Walk Out" excess water, know well the benefit of eliminating this task.

  Dosen't the water just run out with gravity?  Under perfect conditions, yes. But, the conditions are never perfect. If the terrain has just a few depressions or high spots, many gallons of water are trapped in the hose. This excess water makes the hose too Heavy to roll, fold or wind. Until now, you would have to raise the hose up to waist or shoulder level and "Walk Out" the entire length of hose to drain the water. Many tools have been marketed to do this, but you still have to "Walk Out" the entire length of hose - NOT WITH The Boa™.

   What's the difference between The Anaconda™ and any other Fire Hose Inflation Kit?  Our kit is the only one available that incorporates important safety features and can be custom made for use with most any fire hose couple. Imports are plastic or aluminium - We use Brass.

   What does the "SC" mean for The Anaconda™ SC?  "SC" means Self Contained - This system has Everything Needed to deploy the INCLUDED 40 foot Reaching Tool for Ice or Water Rescue. It even has an Extra inflation canister - just in case you need to respond to a second emergency before an opportunity to refill the inflation canister.
